A herding dog that originated in France, this breed faced the brink of extinction following the two World Wars and remains extremely rare. Name it.
Answer Berger Picard
The Berger Picard was once the most common herding dog in France, traditionally bred in the northern French region of Picardy. Coincidentally, this same region suffered the most damage during both World Wars, which dramatically reduced the breed's stock. As of today, it remains a very rare breed with around only 5,000 animals currently living in the entire world.
