A baby echidna is born out of an egg, and then crawls into its mother's pouch to continue growing. What is the name for a baby echidna?
Answer Puggle
A baby echidna is called a puggle. When the baby hatches it's roughly an inch (12 millimeters) long and weighs 0.02 ounces (roughly 1/2 gram) and can spend about 6 to 8 weeks in its mother's pouch in order for its outer spines to harden. Unofficially, a baby platypus is also sometimes known as a puggle.
