Why do we call it Good Friday when it seemed pretty bad. An innocent man was persecuted by religious leaders and killed so he could stop attracting followers to his cause. He was set up. Witnessed were paid to lie. Crowds were paid to shout "Crucify him!" He was tortured and forced to carry his instrument of execution about a mile to the scene of his death, mocked by people in the street. He was betrayed by friends and died, naked, in front of enemies and supporters.
What's so Good about this? It's GOOD because God showed the extent of his love for everyone. Good Friday was a bad day because humanity literally killed God on the cross. But it was good because Jesus' death offered life for all who believe.
Take this quiz and try to find the good in the bad.
