The history of the U.S. is full of construction firsts. We made the tallest building in the world, then we spanned the longest bridge. We have amazing stadiums and giant shopping malls with amusement parks inside, all built by good old-fashioned American ingenuity and a deep-seated love of "big". Sure, other countries have since built taller and bigger things, but when it comes to true grit, nobody outbuilds the United States of America.

In this quiz, we explore the history of our buildings, from the materials used to the architects tapped, from the grand visions to the small incremental development of our cities. From the quickly constructed to some projects that took way too long.

Let's get building!
