Every state has its own flag, its own capital, its own motto...and its own state mammal. In this quiz. we're going to ask you about some of the special animals, starting with Alabama and ending with Wyoming, and skipping some in between (one animal gets repeated 11 times). Time to get animal!
From the Wolverine in Michigan to the Grizzly Bear in California, specific mammals have a storied history and a place in the folklore of each of our 50 states. In some states, the official mammal is still abundant, like the White-Tailed Deer of Arkansas. In others, it's getting harder and harder to find the state mammal within its own state.
In this test of mammalian knowledge, we'll ask you about certain state mammals; in some questions, you'll have to identify the creature and in others we'll tell you what it is and then ask you a question about it. Let's see how much you know about the mammals in your state!
