In New York City, there are over 6,000 high-rise buildings, with more than 270 of them standing nearly 500 feet tall. As an American city, it stands alone in its density of verticality and its awe-inspiring views from the surrounding boroughs and New Jersey. From the Empire State Building to the relatively new Freedom Tower, there's no place like the Big Apple.
